Yesterday, at almost 12 weeks pregnant, me & husband went to do OSCAR test aka down syndrome screening, we paid $400 + for the screening package at 12 weeks and 20 weeks..
The test is basically conducted to see if the baby has low risk or high risk of having the syndrome.. We were having both ultrasound test & blood test for the screening.. We won't know anything until our doctor reveals the result in the next prenatal check-up at 15 weeks.. Bless Us!!
There was something really funny during my ultrasound check-up, the nurse handling us was trying to wake the baby up and try to direct the baby into the position she wanted for measurement, you know what?? The baby didn't want to move at all.. totally not cooperative, well baby did some movements like waving, kicking, etc.. but s/he didn't want to move to the right position for measurement.. The nurse tried to disturb the baby by shaking the doppler, asking me to cough and cough louder, turning to the right & left but nothing.. Our baby was very stubborn and not cooperative at all...
Then we were asked to come back 30 minutes later...
After having our breakfast, brisk walking for a while, we came back to continue our ultrasound.. This time round, it was different nurse performing our ultrasound.. She was a young beautiful Caucasian lady with golden hair, blue eyes and super soft voice..
You know what???
Our baby just turned without us asking hard!! Super cute!! Then the Caucasian nurse did everything easily & smoothly.. The baby was very cooperative with this beautiful young lady touching him (or her,) lol!!
I think we are having a boy and he's a real flirty man and he is like his dad, he can't be forced to do something, instead ask him nicely... like what the Caucasian nurse did, a softer way won his heart..
