I have been wearing contact lenses as long as I can remember, from I was 19 years old to now 33 years old, that's about 14 long years. I can say I have a lot of experiences in wearing different type of contact lenses. Some brands were really comfortable and some were pain in my precious eyes. Eyes are so precious and thus choosing the right contact lens is very important as I don't want to risk my eyes having red eyes or eye infection which I did have in the past. In the past, I used to wear 30 day colored contact lenses and it was because I was too lazy to wash my contact lenses with contact lens solution so I basically just removed & dumped it into contact lens cases that's it! As a result, my eyes were burning and I was having super painful red eyes (infection) It was horrible and took me a few days to feel better!
 
So I learned from my experience and I'm glad that ACUVUE® is offering me to have my first experience at ACUVUE® Experience Centre and to have my comprehensive eye health check and lens fitting experience at the Centre. The Optical Shop I visited was Nanyang Optical at Compass One because it's the nearest shop to my house and my experience with Hui Min, The Eye Care Professional there was really excellent. Hui Min was really friendly and patient in explaining to me my eyes' health & condition as well as which ACUVUE® product is suitable for my eyes.

And I was right hahaaa... My eye sight is getting worse.

Then proceeded with this equipment to check my cornea health using slit lamp and the result was ....... GOOD! Thankfully!

Hui Min was really professional and made me feel super relaxed during the whole eye check process.

 

And my new power. Right: adjusted at -5.00 and Left: adjusted at -4.25. That was about -0.75 increment for each eye. I shall stop reading my phone or watching video from my iPad in the dark. My eye sight is getting worse!

My Review: I was given a few sets of ACUVUE® Oasys® 1-Day to try and it's truly the most comfortable contact lenses I have ever worn in the entire 14 years of my contact lens wearing history. It's so comfortable that I feel like wearing nothing. It can last me up to 12 hours and I still feel pretty much the same like the first few hours wearing it. No irritation, no red eyes, nothing at all! It's so suitable to wear when I need to blog long hours in front of my laptop or I am in the air conditioned room that often makes my eyes feel so dry. I'm currently in my ninth month of pregnancy, 36 weeks plus. In my last month of pregnancy, my days have becoming crazily hectic. Not only I need to set up a prefect nursery for my little princess who is coming to the world in 2-3 weeks time but I have been running back and forth to the hospital for my son's health reviews & my own doctor appointments.

Running errands in final stage of pregnancy can be really tiring, especially when I was required to sit or stand for long periods of time. Besides, it's pretty normal for me to feel discomforts of swelling or fatigue during pregnancy. I believe that is also part of a pregnancy a woman needs to go through (lucky you if you have never experience any of the discomforts!!) However, after being introduced to Preggers Maternity Pantyhose by Spring Maternity (thank you!!) (I didn't know previously there's such a maternity pantyhose product) I realized I could actually do something about my tired achy legs. Something CAN be done! And I don't have to suffer from tired & achy legs in my final trimester! So, here I am trying the product I didn't know existed previously and hoping it helps to energize my legs :)

My legs are not veiny (that's one good thing!) I can barely see veins running through my legs but at 36 weeks plus pregnant, I can no longer running away from the unfortunate typical pregnancy symptoms such as 1) Tired and achy legs 2) Swollen legs

As you can see from my picture below, my calves are swollen! Absolutely not a pretty sight! I believe my swollen calves are caused by water retention in my late pregnancy. Pretty much I woke up in the morning with swollen legs especially the night before, I had a long walk, swollen calves, ankles and feet became worse.

Not only that (sorry the picture below is a little gross to see!), my feet were so swollen and so my ankles! Can you see the blue veins popping out of my feet?

Preggers Maternity Pantyhose is very comfortable to wear on daily basis. The material doesn't make me feel warm, although pregnancy itself has already made me feel so warm, thanks to pregnancy hormones! But having to wear this for the whole day, I don't feel extra warm at all! The material is so airy, breathable and super soft. Therefore, I feel like wearing nothing!

Besides, I also feel more comfortable walking/standing up for a long time. It does help in relieving me from tired legs when I need to walk/stand up for a long time. At the end of the day, I can see the difference between long walk with Preggers Maternity Pantyhose VS long walk without. Long walk without is certainly more tiring and thus, more swelling in the next morning!

Another benefit I like from Preggers Maternity Pantyhose is built-in tummy support. In late pregnancy, especially when my baby's head already down & engaged, most of the time, my belly feels extra heavy! I just feel uncomfortable walking with heavy belly and often I feel Braxton Hicks Contractions (those fake contractions preparing woman body for labor) that come along when I have my long walk. Heavy belly + tightening can be agonizing and intolerable. I have been thinking to buy maternity belt to solve this problem but fortunately, Preggers Maternity Pantyhose was being introduced to me before buying expensive maternity belt that I will no longer be using it after my baby is born!

1) My legs are less tired now and I can walk longer and farther. I feel good even I have to stand up for half an hour or walk for an hour! Leg cramps & soreness lessen with Preggers!

2) My tired legs and feet are energized. No longer feeling sore legs and feet waking up in the morning. Therefore, I'm no longer needing to worry the impact from the long walk-the day before in the next morning! 

3) Swollen calves, ankles and feet are improved! I don't see it that swollen anymore. I believe Preggers Maternity Pantyhose does improve my poor circulation. The compression does promote better blood flow!

 Now I feel more confident wearing short dress. I'm happy to see my normal legs back :) No longer needing to hide my swollen legs/feet/ankles under long maxi dress anymore!! :)

It's so easy to pair Preggers with my pre-pregnancy clothes. I can absolutely pair it with my short pre-pregnancy dresses. I'm a tall girl but pretty slim and I'm lucky enough to be able to fit into almost all my pre-pregnancy dresses except dresses are getting too short due to my growing & expanding belly size and most of the time, I don't have the confidence to wear short dresses. I'm afraid of exposing too much skin in pregnancy, I just feel awkward!

How to use: 

1) Immerse the soap into 40 degree Celsius water for a minimum of 40 seconds. The soap is ready if the surface of the soap melts into a “sesame dessert paste”

2) Apply directly onto skin, even over makeup because the soap can double as a makeup remover.

3) Try to use all the 6 surfaces of “sesame dessert paste” of the soap and not just 1 side. This act will consume all the melted soap surfaces which allows the soap to dry during idling and preserve the form of the soap, prolonging its usability. 

4) Massage face gently for at least 5 minutes. This allows the charcoal particles in the soap water sip into the pores and adhere themselves to white heads and oil deposits for more effective cleansing. 

5) Rinse with warm water with gentle massage. Avoid harsh motion because such action will cut off partially exposed comedones. Partially exposed comedones are best removed with the help of Black Sponge

6) Leave the BLACK PAINT® soap on an open dish in an airy place to dry naturally. This will help to prolong the usage of the soap.

My Reviews:

I have been using Black Paint Soap, Best Water and Water Cream for 28 days and what I honestly think:

Black Paint Soap ~ I love how this soap cleanses my face, it's kind like deep cleansing to me.. I feel my face is so much clearer after using this soap. It doesn't cause my sensitive skin any breakouts (thanks to the organic ingredients) and it leaves me super soft skin after that :)

Best Water ~ This is kind like a toner to me, a watery type.. I love this because it's not oily & I feel so fresh after that.. No breakouts & so far so good :)

Water Cream ~ It is what it called, this cream leaves a watery feeling on my skin.. It's like putting face cream on my face and the cream absorbs really quickly into my skin, just like water.. What I love about this cream is it's not oily at all, instead it hydrates my skin with no greasy feeling at all.. It's so perfect to use in the afternoon, especially when the weather is really hot. I can't stand greasy skin in the hot afternoon, so Water Cream is now my perfect afternoon cream to use :)

Besides, I also love the rose lavender scent.. It's really calming & a little smells like baby powder which I love :) I also like the applicator, I don't need to use fingers anymore, it's much more hygienic that way :)

Overall, I'm happy with Black Paint Products and it's very suitable for busy mom like me.. It's hassle-free.. I just need to cleanse, tone & moisturize. I just need to use 3 products to maintain beautiful skin.. It's so simple to use but the result is amazing. I'm no longer having breakouts, my skin care routine becomes easier and most importantly, I have beautiful skin now :) Don't you agree?

I'm a big fan of Tommee Tippee products, so I couldn't wait to try it out the moment this breast pump landed in my room. I washed & sterilized immediately and to my surprise, this breast pump was very easy to assemble.. No Fussy-Hussy at all!! I was able to assemble this breast pump completely and of course correctly in just less than 5 minutes.. It was really that efficient!

 

The Tommee Tippee soft silicone cup is super comfortable and what I like the most from this soft silicone cup is it offers me the extra security. The milk didn't stuck in between the breast shield and soft silicone cup and it didn't go out of place. I didn't need to re-adjust either!

I have tried many soft silicone cups from different famous brands, although it offered the comfort I wanted but it wasn't secure at all or I needed to adjust and re-adjust many times during my pumping session and yes it was annoying!

The Tommee Tippee soft silicone cup is the best I have ever tried :) Although at the beginning, I needed to master how to put this in place correctly. Since it offers extra security, it can be little hard to attach this soft silicone cup into the breast shield. Practice makes perfect! and it's now getting easier and easier for me to fix this soft silicone cup into the right place :)

 

There are 4 settings to choose from: light, low, medium and high. Personally 'high' was the setting I preferred and it didn't hurt at all. I felt comfortable with the 'high' setting and I have been on 'high' since the first time I used this breast pump.. So far, no injured nipples! Yay!! :)

 

I loved how super gentle the milk expression was, although I was on 'high' setting. The milk flow from the expression was very fast too.. (As you can see from the picture, took this picture when I was pumping!)

I was super amazed with my pumping result!! I successfully expressed 90 ml of breast milk in just 5 minutes (one breast) What a super efficient breast pump!!

15 minutes later, I successfully expressed 150 ml of breast milk (one breast).. It's already my son's one feeding expressed in just 15 minutes :) It took me about 30 minutes to express from both breasts, about 250 ml in total (150 ml from right breast & 100 ml from left breast).

I normally pump the fullest breast first which is always on my right side, then store the milk in the milk storage pot and continue to pump the left side. 

 

 

Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Electric Breast Pump is one of my favorite breast pumps (I own a few breast pumps) Super efficient, fast milk flow & very comfortable. I just wish it's a double electric breast pump! It would be great to pump 2 breasts at the same time because it would be absolutely wonderful to save 15 minutes of my precious time to spend with my little one :)

 

Nonetheless, I'm happy with this product!

 

Another great thing is the microwave sterilizer box. I can wash my breast pump parts, store everything inside the box and easily sterilize it in the microwave!

 

 

Take it out from microwave after being sterilized and here I go, ready for my next pumping again!
