Korean Effortless 'No Makeup' Look

I have been watching Korean drama recently and oh man, I'm so fascinated by the Korean Effortless 'No Makeup' Look. I mean like how come someone can be that beautiful with so minimal make-up? That flawless dewy skin, gradient lips, natural wavy hair... I want to achieve that look too!

Apparently it's not so hard to achieve and it's pretty easy too! And this is how I achieve that effortless 'No Makeup' Look and it only takes me like 10-15 minutes for the whole look! It's absolutely my favorite make up look so far!

Products I'm using:

Face: étude house precious mineral bb cream bright fit, étude house magic any cushion (magic pink), L'oreal Paris true match super blendable concealer

* It's pretty simple, after I wash my face, I moisturize my skin, I put on etude house BB cream on my whole face, L'Oreal concealer on my dark eyes (Thanks to Baby Calysta!) and etude house magic cushion by dabbing it (dabbing instead of wiping it) and I SKIP compact powder. By using the combination of BB Cream & Magic Cushion, I find that I can achieve Korean natural dewy look without effort. It's really easy!

** On my cheeks, I apply 2 little dots on each of my cheekbone Etude House fresh cherry tint in hot pink and layer up with Magic cushion to give me that natural dewy & a little Korean 'wet' look! Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint is so perfect for cheeks as well!

Eyes: Maybelline big eyes (BR-2), Essence eyebrow powder, dolly wink mascara long, revlon color stay crayon eyeliner in black

* I use eyebrow powder instead of eyebrow pencil to create natural eyebrows as possible

** I also use crayon eyeliner and draw the line as thin as possible to create 'no make-up' bright eyes

*** Followed by natural brown eye shadow and lengthening mascara (I try to avoid volumizing mascara to avoid thick eye make up look)

Lips & cheeks: étude house fresh cherry tint in hot pink.

*To create gradient lips, firstly I apply a thin layer of lip tint on my whole lips, after a few seconds (lip tint color is about to dry), I apply a thicker layer of lip tint on the inner side of my lips all the way to the middle side of my lips (like pic below). One lip tint color is good enough to create this Korean lips look! I find that hot pink looks a bit like baby pink to me which I super love! Btw, fresh cherry tint is so moisturizing, I don't even need anything! Nope, don't need lipgloss too!

Hair: Sasa rollers & mucota aire veil for wave 09 (non rinse out hair treatment)

* This hair treatment is recommended by the Korean salon I did my hair earlier and it keeps my wavy hair in a nice shape for quite long. After using the hair treatment lotion, I roll my hair for a while (I can do other things like taking shower, feeding my kids, doing make-up, etc) and when I'm about to go out from my house, I take off my hair rollers and my hair looks naturally amazing without any extra efforts spent! I apply a bit of argan oil if I find my hair is a little dry!

And here's the final look! It's really simple and it makes me looking younger (than my real age) and fresher. Thumb Up to Korean Make-Up!

Looking beautiful doesn't need too much effort, right? :)

Charee Eyelashes Review

I was so excited to receive a full box of eyelashes and this brand is pretty new to me and also my first time trying this brand. The beautiful eyelashes are from Charee. 100% hand made false lashes. I always love natural looking false lashes and I think putting false lashes can save my time in doing make up. Why did I say so? Simply because when I have no time, I will skip my eyeliner & mascara and go direct to my false eyelashes and viola! False eyelashes really make my eyes stand out without needing to put eyeliner and mascara (but of course when I have extra time, I will put a little effort to draw my eyes) ^^

Charee Lashes was born from the heart of beauty addict for beauty lovers. Perfection and Comfort are two special elements that Charee has in every piece of its gorgeous lashes. From the most natural lashes to the glamorous lashes, Charee's 10 pieces of gorgeous lashes are ready to embark beauty journey with beauty lovers around the world. Made by lash master in Indonesia and using only the best of synthetic fiber and clean & natural human hair, Charee lashes are now available at http://honeyzcube.com/ and retailed at SGD 7.99

A beautiful gift to brighten my days

Charee no. 4518 is pretty thick but lashes are looking pretty natural which I love :)

It's not only pretty but it's comfortable too

I'm thinking to wear it to a flirty date with dear husband, of course accompanied by a short girly dress too ;)

Charee no. 4501 is thick and dark in color, but it's also light and comfortable, so I'm thinking to wear this during a night out with my girl friends. Absolutely gorgeous to wear this for night event ^^

It makes my eyes stand out without feeling too overwhelming ;)

Charee no. 7464 is my favorite because it's so pretty. It's very natural, curly, not so thick (so much my liking), light and super comfortable.. I think no. 7464 is very girly too which reflects my personality. The pretty look yet natural is what I like the most. It's not even looking like I'm wearing false lashes but it's looking more like natural eyelashes that are naturally pretty and curly :)

Natural look is my favorite :)

It looks like I'm wearing minimal make-up but still looking fresh ;)

How pretty??? I can wear this every day ^^

Charee no. 4460 is light, comfortable but pretty long and yes, very prettily-curly!

My eyelashes looking like the super gorgeous and curly lashes Indian ladies have ^^

Can totally rock Bollywood or Arabic look, yeah?

Charee no. 7962 is very very natural and I think it's perfect when I have the craving to do Korean Inspired Look. Thinking of beautiful Korean actresses with their super flawless natural make-up, no.7962 is just perfect ;)

Super natural :)

Korean-Inspired Look, anyone?

Charee no.1313, oh wow!! This one is thick, dark in color and criss-cross type. I'm thinking to wear it to night event, like wedding dinner? This one will absolutely stand out ^.~

Looking pretty for wedding dinner? Wear this! And put on golden shimmery eye shadow with a long black dress, you will be a sexy goddess of the night!!

No. 1313 is so sexy and irresistible :D

Charee no. 1045 is another favorite lashes of mine. It's light, comfortable and very natural and it's a criss-cross type too (which is pretty)

Very natural looking which I like :)

Thinking to create sexy yet natural cat eyes? Go for no.1045! ;)

Charee no. 5296 is one of my favorites too.. I would say it's medium thickness, dark in color, not-so-long and it's looking more like my natural eyelashes with mascara on. I don't think people will notice I'm actually wearing false eyelashes ;)

It's a perfect when I want a little "oomph.." without looking too overwhelming

Natural but still looking pretty ^^

Charee no. 4813 is another pretty pair. It's so luscious without looking so thick and heavy. The strands are not so dark or thick which I like and it's comfortable to put it on.

Who says luscious eyelashes can't look natural? Charee no. 4813 can give me that luscious yet natural look ;)

I prove it right, see? It's luscious but natural :) Thinking to wear this during my romantic movie date with dear husband ^.~

Charee no. 4492 is lower false lashes. The first time I saw this, I immediately thought of Japanese Gyaru Girl. Although putting lower false lashes on is not as easy as putting upper false lashes on but practice makes perfect! With more practice and appropriate make-up look, every girl can absolutely rock that kind of "lower lash" look ^^

I'm wearing Charee no. 4492, lower lashes. What do you think? What I really think of lower lashes is that you can make it natural or Gyaru-kind, depending on the face make-up you put on. I can absolutely do "Gyaru" with no. 4492 but right now, I feel like I'm in the mood of natural make up, but emphasizing on "sharp" eyes, therefore I pick Charee no. 4813 for my upper lashes and Charee no. 4492 for my lower lashes. A perfect combination to create this look :)

P/S: A little tip: when you emphasize more on "eye" make-up, make sure that your eyebrows are looking natural (don't draw too thick, I prefer to use eyebrow powder instead). It's kind of balancing out the whole look without looking overwhelming. And of course, you can also put on pink, peach or orangey lipstick to complete the look :)

Happy Trying!!

Pssttt....I'm going to find out my 2nd child's baby gender next Friday when I'm 20 weeks plus pregnant and oh dear, I'm so nervous! Boy or Girl, I just want a healthy baby :)

Korean Gradient Lips with Etude House Lips-Fit

Anyohaseyo...

I'm currently obsessed with Korean beauty trend. Just name it, I have tried it. Orangey lips, gradient lips and even the popular "eye bag" make up hahaa...

Who says I'm now a mother, I can't follow beauty trend or buy beauty stuff I like? Of course I can :) I still want to look pretty after all LOL

Last month, I watched a Korean girl in Etude House's video, teaching how to create pretty Korean Gradient Lips and I was like "OMG, I want I want...!!!!" like crazy.. And at that time, I knew what I wanted to buy :)

By the way, Korean Gradient Lips, also known as Ombre or Bitten Lips, it's like you bite your lips and your inner lips look redder naturally, very popular among the Korean actresses. I watch a lot of Korean drama, so I know many of their pretty actresses go for gradient lips and that's why I fall in love with it! It also creates a very innocent look. I personally think gradient lips look is more suitable for girls with full lips and it makes full lips look prettier :) (My personal opinion and I think I do look good with gradient lips rather than "full lipstick" on my lips because I do have full lips :)

I finally dropped by to Etude House to buy these 3 beauty stuff to create the popular Korean gradient lips:

1) Etude House Color Lips-Fit in Fantasy Fit Pink ~ I picked this because it's used prettily on Suli's lips :)

2) Etude House Lips-Fit-Petti & Top Coat ~ Etude House girl promised me this is gonna look shiny on my lips

3) Etude House Lip Concealer ~ it's the very basic step to create gradient lips

I can't remember how much all of these beauty stuff cost me, but I think it's less than S$40, since there was 20% discount when I bought these!

Despite the "not very good" reviews I read online about Etude House Lips-Fit, I still give it a try because the color is really pretty and who knows it works on me? Haahaa..

Fantasy Fit Pink color is very very pretty, reminds me the color of bubble gum :) And it does smell like bubble gum too, believe me or not?

How to create the Korean Gradient Lips?

1) Use lip concealer to conceal the lip area you want to make smaller. I conceal a little bit of my lower & upper lips (about 1/4)

2) Use finger to spread the concealer evenly

3) Put only 3 drops of Etude House Lips-Fit in fantasy pink on your lower lips (inner part)

4) Use only cotton bud to spread the fantasy pink color evenly. Don't use your finger, it's not gonna be even. I tried once with my finger, it didn't work! Cotton Bud works best!

5) Don't forget 2 drops on your upper lips (inner part)

6) Spread evenly with cotton bud

7) Apply Etude House Lips-Fit Petti & Top Coat. It makes your lips prettier and less flaky than just apply the lips-fit in fantasy pink alone

8) Add 2 more drops of Lips-Fit Fantasy Pink if you feel your inner part is not red enough. In my case, I always need to add 2 more drops to make it more gradient and finish up with another layer of Lips-Fit Petti & Top Coat :)

The color is amazingly pretty and I love gradient lips so much but my concern about Etude House's products are:

1) Color Lips-Fit Fantasy Fit Pink can be dry and flaky. I think it's because this product is powdery on lips, thus it doesn't moisturize at all. This product can be used on cheeks as well and I reckon the result on cheeks will be more promising since it has powdery effect

2) Lip Concealer doesn't last long! It's gone within 10 minutes without me eating or drinking. Maybe am I missing something before putting lip concealer? I have natural red-pink lips and when the lip concealer is gone, my gradient lips effect is kind of gone too, since the gradient effect has mixed up with my natural lip color. But the pink color is still pretty even it's not looking very gradient anymore!

3) Color  Lips Fit Petti & Top Coat doesn't last long too! Even so, it's still much better to include top coat in making gradient lips because it moisturizes lips after putting Fantasy Fit Pink and at least it's not that flaky comparing to skipping top coat.

What I like about Etude House Color Lips-Fit in Fantasy Fit Pink:

1) Fantasy Fit Pink color is so pretty.
2) The pink color lasts pretty long (if I don't eat or drink)
3) Fantasy Fit Pink can be applied on cheek (it's like 2 in 1 product)

Will I buy again?

Maybe no, I believe Etude House has better long lasting products that are able to create the same gradient lips effect without feeling dry and flaky and I always love Etude House & look forward to try their new beauty products :) I'm a big fan!

Opinions are all mine ~ and this is not a sponsored review.

'Till Next Time,

Romantic/Sweet Love Inspired Look

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

This Valentine I got a big surprise from dearest hubby :) He's currently overseas, so I thought "alright, no worries, no Val's, but it's okay!" but you guess what? This morning, I received a delivery! He sent me flower! I thought he wouldn't send me anything since we are married with one kid, but I was wrong, he's still the same romantic guy I dated 3 years ago :)

Today I read the letter my husband sent me 3 years ago & it was the sweetest writing I ever received in my whole life.. I truly believe in fate.. How could I not? My husband was the man I met in the exhibition during my business trip 3 years ago & our friendship was long distance for 2 months and on our first date (or our 2nd meeting) he proposed to me with a huge Swarovski love crystal, could you imagine you would be engaged to someone you knew for 2 months & you met for the 2nd time?

Long story cut short, a year after his proposal, we got married & another year later, we had our little bundle of joy known as Baby EJ.. Our love is madness but magical!

The Love Letter <3 & The Engagement Crystal

The beautiful surprise he sent me today 14-02-2014

Another surprise I got today is from Etude House, thank you Etude House for your gorgeous Play Color Eyes Palette & 2 sets of Chocolate Kiss Perfumed Lip Set :) Super Love it!!

I thought since he's overseas, I wanna surprise him too, so I did Romantic/Sweet Love Inspired Make-Up & I hope my husband loves it <3

This look is perfect for Valentine, Wedding Anniversary or even romantic dating with your boyfriend or husband.. It's sweet & lovely, perfect for beautiful princesses who are in love <3

This is the final look of Romantic/Sweet Love Inspired Make-Up

Let's get started!

I have my base (BB cream, concealer, etc) on already and I start with Etude House Play Color in Party Gold across my entire lid

Then, apply "Temptation" on my eyelid

Touch up with "Party Gold" by dabbing eyeshadow on eyelid gently to create shimmery eye effect

Then apply "Snow Queen" in the middle to create the "pop-up shimmery effect"

And apply the gorgeous "Burning Red" above the crease line

Now, for the lower lid:

#1st apply no.1 on the middle of lower lid towards the end
#2nd apply no.2 from the middle towards inner corner of eye
#3rd apply no.3 by dabbing the eyeshadow from the middle towards inner corner of eye to create fresh eye look

Put on eyeliner (you can draw it longer to create sharper sexy eyes) and natural looking fake eyelashes

For the lips, I love this super sweet Korean-inspired gradient lips. 1st, apply on Etude House Chocolate Kiss #2, Peach Kiss on the entire lips, then 2nd, apply red lip color on inner lips.. It looks like your lips are bleeding but sweetly :)

Final step, you can draw a little "love" shape on your face with gel eyeliner or if you think a "love" shape on your face looks funny, you can skip it too! :)

Done & again happy valentine's day!!!
