Hello Fellow Parents,

How are babies doing? I hope they are all growing well (just like baby EJ) and congratulations on having healthy & happy babies.. I am sure my fellow parents are proud parents with much joy and happiness :) Babyhood is absolutely filled with lots of fun, love & joyous memories :)

As a mother, my days are filled with wonderful & rewarding experience, absolutely with lots of loving memories. To me, motherhood is simply a joy :) My little EJ grows up quick, so I have to make sure to cherish every minute of his life, including his milestone & of course play time.

To me, playtime is a bonding time between father-mother & son. It's also a learning time for baby EJ. Playtime is simply fun & happy moments, filled with love & joyous memories :)

Playtime helps baby EJ develop social, language & intellectual skills.

I'm sure my fellow parents have their own special family play time with their precious babies and so we are :) Why don't take a glimpse of our family play time?

The Joy of Making a New Friend

Baby EJ has found a new friend, let's mommy introduce his new friend. His name is The Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Learning Puppy. This cuddly pal enhances his sense of security, inviting him to hug & express friendship.

During play time, baby EJ loves to touch & feel the soft surface of this lovely puppy. Sounds, lights & songs created by this puppy never fail to amaze him. Whenever he is offered his favorite toy, he will look at it & touch it in all kind of silly ways (Mommy finds it very cute & just can't stop aww-ing)

The Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Learning Puppy is a must toy to include in our special family play time because it's absolutely adorable & cuddly which makes it safe & fun for baby EJ to play with.

The Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Learning Puppy is a constant companion of our little one, not only to accompany him when mommy is busy, it's also to educate & entertain him during his own play time :)

Besides playing with toys, I also believe that there are other ways in engaging in play with baby EJ . I believe in connecting his 5 senses such as hearing, touch, smell, taste & sound during play time. I often use a very simple yet very natural form of play such as sniffing, tickling, pee-a-boo-ing and making funny noises to play & bond with baby EJ every day :)

Peek-a-boo-ing with mommy.. He knows what is peek-a-boo. Whenever mommy says "Peek-a-boo" he will put his head down and raise it up again.. :) Too cute to miss the video :)

Ethan James Lim, the 5th month update!

Mommy is back with her baby update :)
 
Ethan James Lim, my little baby is currently 5 months old (and 1 week to be exact) Time flies, isn't?
 
1) He's eating solid better.. Yes, getting better.. He's good at swallowing his rice cereal and finishes everything in 5 minutes (1-2 teaspoons of white rice cereal mixed with breast milk)
 
2) He's currently drinking 180-200 ml of breast milk each feeding (can go up to 240 ml, depending on his tummy) and he's currently 9 kg in weight, big boy, huh?
 
But there was this time, he didn't have appetite to drink milk.. I remember writing on my facebook status, 21st Sept " From previously 1-1.2 liter milk a day to only 700-800ml milk per day now, so worried for my baby boy & not sure what happened, he's 5 months old and he doesn't want anything except breast milk, not a chance to feed him a little formula, totally rejected it! Hope this phase will be over soon & his big appetite back soon! — with Ban Heng Lim. "
 
17th Sept, from my facebook status "My poor little boy having fever due to teething & he cried alot my heart was breaking to see him suffer in pain & can only take less than 120ml BM each feeding, I can't bear to see my chubby big boy to lose some weight, I want him to remain happy & chubby (I was literally crying together with him..)

Thankfully, after going through this "bad-appetite" phase for 4 days, his appetite was back to normal..  :) As a first time parent, I was very worried but now I know that it's normal for babies to go through that kind of phase (big relief)

3) Teething, something we are still unsure about.. He has all the teething symptoms like drooling a lot, biting teat real hard, rubbing his gums against teat, biting clothes/handkerchief, trying to bite whatever is within his reach and of course putting his fingers in his mouth all the time.. It looks like his gums are kind of swollen and there's whitish thing in there.. But so far no teeth yet, so we are unsure about his teething thing!!

4) For the past 2 weeks, he has been doing this kind of exercise and lifting half of his upper body high & he has strong muscle control (started this position at 4.5 months) and now at 5 months, his upper body is getting stronger & able to roll over back and forth as he likes!

Getting more difficult to change him because he just loves to roll over!

5) The superman pose, he has been loving this position for the past 1 month :)

 



 He's simply just too adorable to describe with words!

 

Look at those chubby legs, I just can't get enough, I would just kiss it all day long!

Thank you, dearest son for coming into our life, you bring joy, happiness & excitement every single day.. Mommy & daddy love you so much!!

This week, I'm very glad to have the opportunity to try Fisher-Price Newborn-to-Toddler Portable Rocker and here I am with a review, just for you, mommies & daddies :) I promise this review is based on my own experience using the product and it's 100% honest review (just like usual) ^.~

When I first received this product, I remember telling my husband "Oh, wow hubby, look at this! It's very light in weight! "

I was totally very surprised with the light weight and the fact that it can support up to 18 kg with such light weight, so my husband helped me to assemble the rocker while I was taking care baby EJ.

Surprisingly, it was very easy to assemble this product. It took less than 15 minutes for my husband to set everything up :)

And here's the most exciting part, letting baby EJ try on for the very first time :)

Trying it for the first time, he looks very happy, right??

I have been using the Fisher-Price Newborn-to-Toddler Rocker for almost 3 weeks and my baby absolutely loves it! To be honest with you, I just CAN'T live without this rocker, oh yes.. I'm being serious!! I just can't imagine my life without this! (I may sound exaggerating, but that's the truth!) 

This rocker is a MUST-HAVE baby product and as a SAHM (Stay At Home Mother), this rocker is my life-saver for the past 3 weeks.. (Yes, seriously)

I can tell you WHY!

FIRST, I'm using this rocker for feeding and it makes feeding a whole lot easier! This rocker has the adjustable seat recline and it's perfect for milk & solid feeding (since it's adjustable, I can adjust to the right angle that both me & baby feel the most comfortable and during feeding, I normally change from rocker to stationary seat with fold-out kickstands. Correct angle during feeding prevents choking :) This is one of the features I like the most from the rocker :)

SECOND, it's portable.. During the nighttime, this rocker will be sitting in my room (baby EJ's room too!) Oh, yes, I use this rocker for midnight feeding & since it's light in weight & portable, I can easily carry & move it from living room to bed room, back & forth!

As you can see from the dim light in my room & baby EJ in his pajamas & wearable blanket, I'm using this rocker for midnight feeding & I will just let baby EJ nap for a while before moving him to his baby cot (the reason I'm doing this is because the moment his body lands on his bed, he will flip over to his tummy within seconds and sleeping on tummy after a big meal isn't the best idea (bad for digestion too!)

THIRD, baby EJ loves to watch his favorite BabyTV (BabyTV is a subscribed baby channel) in his rocker and of course enjoying his favorite cartoon, Henry, The Cat in his super comfortable rocker!

Enjoying his favorite show while mommy is cleaning bottles and doing other household tasks.. It just saves my life!! I can just leave him alone for a while! (of course not forgetting to buckle up his seat belt and oh yes, the rocker seat belt is also adjustable!)

FOURTH, he loves to play in his rocker! The toys encourage interactive play! Buckle up his seat belt, Play & Relax!!

FIFTH, baby EJ loves to rest in his rocker!

Rest, Relax & absolutely nothing to do!! He also loves to interact with his mommy & daddy in his favorite rocker! We do nothing, just chit-chatting with the baby and enjoying our beautiful Sunday together :)

I'm currently using position seat recline number 2, it's just perfect for baby EJ's height :)

So far, I'm very satisfied and highly recommend this rocker to expectant moms or new mommies & daddies looking for perfect rocker.. Fisher-Price Newborn-to-Toddler Portable Rocker is just simply perfect and a must-have baby product :)
